EXTRA DUTY

Teachers are expected to assume reasonable duties over and above their regular classroom responsibilities.  The principal shall have authority to make such assignments, which shall be distributed as equitably as possible among teachers.

This extra duty may include aspects of student accounting, supervision of students in the cafeteria, halls, playground, or bus loading area during non-instructional periods, and activity sponsorship.

Extra responsibilities that make major demands on a teacher's time, such as coaching, band direction, and choral direction shall receive extra compensation.  Such assignments shall be approved by the Board and shall be compensated for in accord with Board-approved schedules.
