The Superintendent shall be vested with a broad range of administrative and supervisory authority relative to the school system's buildings and grounds program.  Regular reports shall be made available to the Board relative to maintenance needs, safety, utility and attractiveness of school plants and grounds within the school system.

    2. Turn off lights whenever the classrooms are not in use.

    3. Rearrange papers, books, window shades, etc., in proper fashion before leaving for the day.

    4. Request services of the maintenance staff through the principal, who will submit a request in writing to the Supervisor of Maintenance.  Requests may be telephoned, with a written confirmation later, or faxed, in the event of emergencies.  Principals will make teachers aware of the extent to which they may request the services of custodians.

VACANT AND/OR UNOCCUPIED BUILDINGS
