ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

NOVEMBER 16, 2016 – 5:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present:  Messrs., Mark Hebert, President, Steve Fuselier, Aaron Flegeance,  Burton Dupuis, Richard Potier, Frederic Stelly, and Floyd Knott.

ABSENT:           Mr. James Blanchard, Mr. Russel C. Foti, and Ms. Wanda B. Vital

On the motion of Mr. Dupuis, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

             ABSENT:           Mr. Blanchard, Mr. Foti, and Ms. Vital

             On the motion of Mr. Fuselier, seconded by Mr. Potier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

             ABSENT:           Mr. Blanchard, Mr. Foti, and Ms. Vital

             A motion was made by Mr. Fuselier and seconded by Mr. Flegeance to follow the recommendation of the administration regarding Student C.

A substitute motion was made by Mr. Potier to give the student a ten (10) day out-of-school suspension then return to his/her regular school setting.  The substitute motion died for lack of a second.

The original motion was then voted on and carried, as follows:

FOR:    Mr. Fuselier, Mr. Flegeance, Mr. Dupuis, Mr. Stelly, and Mr. Knott

OPPOSED:       Mr. Potier

ABSENT:           Mr. Blanchard, Mr. Foti, and Ms. Vital

On the motion of Mr. Fuselier, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
