BOARD RETREAT

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present:  Messrs., Mark Hebert, President, Steve Fuselier, Aaron Flegeance, James Blanchard, Russel C. Foti, Burton Dupuis, Frederic Stelly, Floyd Knott, and Ms. Wanda B. Vital.

ABSENT:          Mr. Richard Potier

Dr. Lottie P. Beebe, Superintendent, opened the meeting with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance.

No action was necessary or taken for the following items discussed at the Retreat:

a)     Raise for employees

b)     Insubordination

c)     Bus Stops

d)     Demolition of buildings (JCEP location)

e)     Increasing technology in schools

f)      STEM Program in St. Martinville

g)     Work Orders

h)     School funds

i)       Hiring personnel

j)      Staffing of schools

k)     Replacing Gil Weimer contracts for 2013 and 2016 bond issues with Ziler Architect

l)       Parent pickup driveways for Teche and Cecilia Primary

m)   Poche Prouet Associates contract

n)     Salary increase per year according to the salary schedule

o)     Time frames and amount of meetings with directors/supervisors/principals

Discussion of protocol pertaining to policies and procedures was removed from the agenda.

ABSENT:          Mr. Potier

On the motion of Mr. Stelly, seconded by Mr. Knott, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
