ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

NOVEMBER 20, 2013 – 5:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

MINUTES

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., Floyd Knott, President, Steve Fuselier, Aaron Flegeance, Russel C. Foti, James Blanchard, Richard Potier, Mark Hebert, and Ms. Wanda Babin.

ABSENT:              Mr. Robert E. Hollier and Mr. Frederic Stelly

Mr. Mike Hefner, Chief Demographer with Geographic Planning & Demographic Services, addressed the Board relative to redistricting.

On the motion of Mr. Foti, seconded by Mr. Blanchard, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

On the motion of Mr. Fuselier, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

ABSENT:              Mr. Hollier and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Foti, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to follow the Superintendent’s recommendation in regard to the following:

a)       Settlement authority relative to the matter entitled:  In Re:  The West Lake Verret Oil & Gas Field, aka the Legacy matter involving Shell Oil Company, Petrohawk Operating Company, Meridian Resource and Exploration Company, and Milagro Exploration, LLC.

b)       Joining in the litigation initiated by St. John Parish School Board vs. the State of Louisiana.

ABSENT:              Mr. Hollier and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Foti, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
