ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

SEPTEMBER 15, 2010 – 5:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., Aaron Flegeance, President, Floyd Knott, Mark Hebert, James Blanchard, Steve Fuselier, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux, and Frederic Stelly.

ABSENT:               Ms. Wanda Babin and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais

Superintendent Lavergne opened the meeting with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Potier, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

On the motion of Mr. Potier, seconded by Mr. Fuselier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

ABSENT:               Ms. Babin

On the motion of Mr. Potier, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to reinstate denied credits due to excessive absences for Items A and B.

ABSENT:               Ms. Babin

A motion was made by Mr. Ledoux and seconded by Mr. Blanchard to follow the recommendation of the administration regarding Student A.

Mr. Potier made a substitute motion to allow Student A to return to school.  The substitute motion died for lack of a second.

The original motion was then voted on and unanimously carried.

ABSENT:               Ms. Babin

A motion was made by Mr. Blanchard and seconded by Mr. Fuselier to follow the recommendation of the administration regarding Student B.

Mr. Potier made a substitute motion to allow Student B to return to school.  The substitute motion died for lack of a second.

The original motion was then voted on and carried.

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
