MINUTES
The St. Martin Parish School Board convened on this day at 5:00 P.M. at the Breaux Bridge Instructional Center with the following members present: Messrs. Mark Hebert, President, Floyd Knott, Steve Fuselier, James Blanchard, Aaron Flegeance, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux, Mrs. Barbara Latiolais and Ms. Wanda Babin.
ABSENT: Mr. Frederic Stelly
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Mark Hebert, President. Superintendent Lavergne opened the meeting with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance.
Taylor and Sons awarded the November Employee of the month to Ms. Belinda Broussard, Catahoula Elementary.
Eleven Educational Leadership Academy Graduates were recognized and honored. The meeting was recessed for ten minutes for refreshments.
The agenda item by Board Members Jimmie Blanchard and Mark Hebert to discuss permitting Breaux Bridge High School Football Coaches to attend the State Championship Clinic and football game was removed from the agenda (8d).
Board Member Rodney Ledoux requested to postpone until the January 2010 School Board Meeting the agenda item to discuss concerns about Board perception and reality about present and future problems in our school system (8a).
Board Member Mark Hebert requested to postpone until the January 2010 School Board Meeting the agenda item to discuss allocation of bond money in Cecilia area (8f).
On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Ms Babin, and carried, the Board approved the following consent agenda items:

a) Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 4, 2009
b) Minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting of November 18, 2009
c) Approved Finance Committee recommendation:
1) Changes to Lunch Staffing
2) Proposed Capital Improvement Projects
d) Approved request for Call for Bids on Tires for the period of January 2010 through December 2010
Board Member Floyd Knott discussed Race to the Top Federal Grant.
Board Member Jimmy Blanchard discussed merit pay and requested administration to bring a proposal to the Board.
Board Member Rodney Ledoux discussed the purchase of past/present property lands for schools.
On the motion of Mr. Fuselier, seconded by Mr. Blanchard, and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Personnel Changes:

On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Blanchard, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
