ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 18, 2009 – 5:00 P.M.

M I N U T E S
The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., Mark Hebert, President, Floyd Knott, Steve Fuselier, James Blanchard, Aaron Flegeance, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais and Ms. Wanda Babin.
ABSENT: Mr. Frederic Stelly
Superintendent Lavergne opened the meeting with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.
On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Fuselier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mrs. Latiolais, and carried, the Board approved to uphold the Superintendent’s recommendation regarding Student A.
OPPOSED: Mr. Potier
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and carried, the Board approved to reinstate denied credits due to excessive absences for the Fall Semester of School Year 2008-2009 for Students A and B, providing they earned the grade and are allowed to take tests missed due to absences.
OPPOSED: Ms. Babin
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Knott, seconded by Mr. Blanchard, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.
On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Fuselier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Ledoux, seconded by Mr. Potier, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to reinstate denied credits due to excessive absences for the Fall Semester of School Year 2008-2009 for Student C, providing he/she earned the grade and is allowed to take tests missed due to absences.
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Blanchard, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
