ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

SEPTEBER 24, 2008 – 5:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., James Blanchard, President, Floyd Knott, Steve Fuselier, Aaron Flegeance, Mark Hebert, Richard Potier, and Rodney Ledoux.

ABSENT:               Mr. Frederic Stelly, Mrs. Barbara Latiolais, and Ms. Wanda Babin

Superintendent Lavergne opened the meeting with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

On the motion of Mr. Knott, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board approved revisions to the 2008-2009 school calendar, as follows:

Eliminate 02/20/2008 and 05/01/2009 (half days) professional development days.

Change two parent-teacher conference days to full days of instruction.  Parent- teacher conferences will take place on Thursday evening 3:30 – 6:30PM.  (Pre-K to 8th 09/25/2008 & 01/08/2009 and High School 10/16/2008 & 03/26/2009)

On the motion of Mr. Ledoux, seconded by Mr. Hebert, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
