ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 19, 2007 – 5:00 P.M.
BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA
M I N U T E S
The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., James Blanchard, President, Floyd Knott, Aaron Flegeance, Mark Hebert, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux, and Ms. Wanda Babin and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais.
ABSENT: Mr. Steve Fuselier and Mr. Frederic Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Hebert, seconded by Mrs. Latiolais, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.
On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Fuselier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and carried, the Board approved to follow the recommendation of the administration regarding Student A, which involves attendance at JCEP for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year under a strict behavior plan.
OPPOSED: Mr. Hebert
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and carried, the Board approved the request for a zone transfer for Students B-D.
OPPOSED: Mr. Hebert and Mr. Ledoux
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mr. Potier, seconded by Mrs. Latiolais, and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Paraprofessional Personnel Changes:
APPOINTMENT:
Knott, Laurie, LPN/Teacher Aide, Parks Primary; effective September 20, 2007.
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
A motion was made by Ms. Babin and seconded by Mr. Flegeance to add to the agenda consider and/or approve the Addendum for Personnel Changes. The motion failed as follows (2/3 vote needed to add an agenda item):
FOR: Mr. Fuselier, Mr. Flegeance, Mrs. Latiolais, Mr. Blanchard, and Ms. Babin
OPPOSED: Mr. Knott, Mr. Hebert, Mr. Potier, and Mr. Ledoux
ABSENT: Mr. Stelly
On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
