ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

JANUARY 17, 2007 – 6:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., James Blanchard, President, Floyd Knott, Steve Fuselier, Aaron Flegeance, Mark Hebert, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux, Frederic Stelly, and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais and Ms. Wanda Babin.

ABSENT:        None

On the motion of Mr. Ledoux, seconded by Mr. Hebert, and unanimously carried, the Board approved a recommendation of the Finance Committee to increase the scheduled sales tax supplements for professionals by $800, from $5,320 to $6,120, which is $200 more than the amount currently budgeted, and $800 more than currently approved and to increase the scheduled sales tax supplements for paraprofessionals by $700, from $4,099 to $4,799, which is $200 more than the amount currently budgeted, and $700 more than currently approved.

The Board discussed amendment(s) in the Group Health Plan.  No action was taken.

On the motion of Mr. Knott, seconded by Mr. Flegeance, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

On the motion of Mr. Hebert, seconded by Mrs. Latiolais, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

On the motion of Mr. Hebert, seconded by Ms. Babin, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to follow the recommendation of the administration, in regard to the employee discussed in Executive Session, to follow the notification of a tenure hearing.

On the motion of Mr. Flegeance, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
