ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

JANUARY 18, 2006 – 5:00 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., Floyd Knott, President, Mark Hebert, Steve Fuselier, James Blanchard, Richard Potier, Rodney Ledoux, Frederic Stelly, Paulma Johnson, and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais.  

ABSENT:        Mr. Anthony Wiltz

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Stelly, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Hebert, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

ABSENT:        Mr. Wiltz

A motion was made by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Potier to reduce the time spent at JCEP by the student discussed in Executive Session from twelve (12) weeks to six (6) weeks.

Mr. Ledoux made a substitute motion, seconded by Mr. Hebert, to follow the recommendation of the administration in regard to the student discussed in Executive Session, which involves attendance at JCEP for a period of twelve (12) weeks, with a review after nine (9) weeks.  The substitute motion carried, as follows:

FOR:     Mr. Hebert, Mr. Fuselier, Mrs. Latiolais, Mr. Blanchard, and Mr. Ledoux

OPPOSED:     Mr. Potier, Mr. Stelly, and Mr. Johnson

ABSENT:        Mr. Wiltz

On the motion of Mr. Stelly, seconded by Mr. Hebert, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
