ST. MARTIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

AUGUST 17, 2005 – 4:30 P.M.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LOUISIANA

M I N U T E S

The St. Martin Parish School Board met this day with the following members present: Messrs., Mark Hebert, President, Steve Fuselier, James Blanchard, Rodney Ledoux, Paulma Johnson, and Mrs. Barbara Latiolais.  

ABSENT:  Mr. Floyd Knott, Mr. Anthony Wiltz, Mr. Richard Potier, and Mr. Frederic Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mrs. Latiolais, and unanimously carried, the Board went into Executive Session.

On the motion of Mr. Blanchard, seconded by Mr. Fuselier, and unanimously carried, the Board came out of Executive Session.

ABSENT:        Mr. Knott, Mr. Wiltz, and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Fuselier, seconded by Mr. Johnson, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to waive the remainder of the out-of-school expulsion for Student A and allow him/her to attend JCEP and return to his/her regular school setting after successfully completing JCEP through September 23, 2005.

ABSENT:        Mr. Knott, Mr. Wiltz, and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mrs. Latiolais, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to rescind the out-of-school expulsion for Student B provided the student enrolls in St. Mary Parish schools immediately.

ABSENT:        Mr. Knott, Mr. Wiltz, and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Ledoux, and unanimously carried, the Board approved to reinstate denied credits due to excessive absences for the Spring Semester of School Year 2004-2005 for Student C.

            ABSENT:        Mr. Knott, Mr. Wiltz, and Mr. Stelly

On the motion of Mr. Ledoux, seconded by Mr. Potier, and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned.
